Yoga, Pilates, Barre, TRX

Teaching style: Playful, practical, energetic & fun – focus on lesser worked muscles

How has Pilates & yoga helped: less neck / shoulder pain, no more headaches, ITB issue gone & less angry. Pilates made me stronger, learn how to turn off overused muscles and yoga has given me calm and clarity. Able to hike, snowboard & dance efficiently = less pain, quicker recovery.

Before I discovered yoga.. I felt stuck as lessons kept repeating - I didn’t listen to my body or intuition. Yoga (breathwork and meditation) gave me the tools to find calm and clarity.

Before Pilates.. I had no clue how to turn on my glutes or activate my core. It sure made running and snowboarding harder as I wasn’t even using the right muscles. Not great for my physio, chiro and remedial massage bills!

Focus: upper body, core & glutes – my weak areas! This helps with my neck / shoulder issues as can ache and get stuck if I don’t move & strengthen enough. Core + glutes are also a must as they’re our biggest muscles for functional movement 💪

Fav exercises: high row / shoulder press (teach) & short spine or woodchopper on reformer (do), shoulder / hip openers in yoga and tendu in barre. I love to work on balance and include obliques in core work.

What’s on your playlist? My Favourite Murder (when I’m not teaching), 90s - 2000 love ballads, trance, pop (Gaga, p!nk, Sam Smith) & soundtracks like The Greatest Showman.

What brings you joy? Reading, singing, dancing, cute animal vids, cooking & eating. Maybe Otto when he stops peeing on my things.

Mat Pilates, Barre, Dance

Teaching style: Friendly and fun! I like to get to know my students and there’s always plenty of laughs making classes enjoyable and less clinical. I tend to talk a bit as there’s a lot of info going around in my head. It's important to learn about our bodies so we can move intuitively with ease.

How has Pilates & dance helped: Teaching over 20 years can make it hard to stay motivated. Pilates re-sparked my interest in movement during the most stagnant part of my life - lockdown. A fire was lit and filled me with a new appreciation for movement and wellbeing. I hope people who attend my classes will feel the same 🤩

Before I discovered Pilates, I was a dance instructor and aerialist. I started teaching ballet, contemporary and all that jazz, (pun intended), at 17. Eventually that evolved into teaching pole, aerial hoop, silks and contortion. I’ve also performed and competed both nationally and worldwide. Needing to spice things up, I moved my focus to Pilates.

Focus: Alignment and mindfulness. I believe fitness is a lifestyle not a chore. I want to pass that mind-body connection with students in my class. I’m also a huge stickler for correct alignment and method. Get ready to grow tall and feel more supported 💕

Fav exercises: Anything lower body! From the tiny muscles in our feet to the massive muscles in our glutes, the truck supports the entire body and gets the worst beating throughout the day. I love to stretch and strengthen these areas, and bring ballet exercises into the mix. This gets deep into the intricate muscle system and freshens routine exercise

What’s on your playlist? I need showtunes and Disney songs at hand any time I'm in the car. My steering wheel really likes to hear me belt those high notes. I ignore confused looks from neighbouring drivers!

What brings you joy? My kids - they amaze me everyday doing silly things that make me grateful for life.

Mat Pilates, Reformer, Barre, TRX

Teaching style: Energised collaborative strong workouts focused on perfecting technique and finding your challenge whilst having a laugh

How has Pilates & barre helped: It has made a massive difference to my mental health. I find freedom and happiness through movement but I also love that connecting with my body allows me to feel complete again.

Before Pilates.. I was full-time in corporate terrified of wasting my days away. It gave me purpose and a reason to get out of bed. My clients mean the world to me!

Focus: Putting mind and body back together! Making classes fun for clients to make it easier to reap the benefits of the workout.

Fav exercises: I'm a sucker for a side-lying hip series, and training lower abdominals correctly without bearing down on pelvic floor.

What’s on your playlist? I have wildly eclectic taste but my workout playlists are high energy. I love Aussie music but I also love Jamiroquai.

What brings you joy? Connecting with people, be it audiences I perform for or clients I work with. I also love vegan baking and nostalgia and spending time with my partners and friends.

Yoga (Hatha, Slowflow, Vinyasa, Yin & Meditation)

Teaching style: Grounding, calming, educational and light-hearted. I work on integrating the body's systems so that it functions more effectively as a whole.

How has movement & yoga helped: Yoga and Pilates have both given me a much greater body awareness and have taught me to trust myself and my instincts through tuning in. Yoga has calmed my nervous system down and taught me the power of stillness. Pilates has greatly improved my posture and given me more body confidence.

Before I discovered yoga.. I hadn't fully discovered myself and I didn't fully trust myself! Yoga has taught me to look inwards as we have all the answers we need within us.

Before I discovered Pilates? I (unknowingly) had many weak spots in my body that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to strengthen. Pilates has given me a sense of inner strength, improved my posture and given me more confidence.

Focus: Core. I've always had a very weak core which caused lots of lower back issues. Yoga & Pilates has strengthened my mid-section which has resulted in no more lower back pain!

Fav exercises: squats, headstands in yoga, breathwork (for internal exercise) & lying leg lifts on reformer

What’s on your playlist? My playlists are a mixed bag! So Cold by Ben Cocks, Too Sweet by Hozier, My Mind by Yebba, Colorblind by Counting Crows, Hurricane by Tommee Profitt, Lost Without You by Freya Ridings, Berlin by RY X, Where's My Love by SYML, You There by Aquilo,  If I Lose Myself by Alesso and Anything by Peking Duk

What brings you joy? Hearing my son laugh, hiking in the mountains, coffee and being in nature.

Yoga, Sound Healing

Teaching style: My teaching style is rooted in the healing traditions of tantric and Bhakti yoga, with a focus on mindfulness, energy, and devotion. I guide my students to connect deeply with their energy body through breath, sound, and movement. Each class is an invitation to slow down, listen to the body, and honour its wisdom. I create a sacred space where students can explore their inner world with devotion, using mantra, breathwork, and movement to foster transformation and awareness. I’m deeply compassionate, grounded, and supportive, offering options / modifications to help students stay comfortable and connected, especially when facing physical challenges. I aim to provide a nurturing environment where everyone can find their way at their own pace.

How has yoga helped: Yoga has been a transformative tool for me, especially in managing chronic pain and mental health. Through consistent practice, I have learned to meet my body where it is, cultivating compassion and patience. Yoga has taught me to listen to my body’s subtle cues, and through breath and mindful movement, I’ve found a way to ease tension, calm my nervous system, and release stuck emotions. The integration of sound and breath in my practice has been key in reconnecting me with my inner peace.

Before I discovered yoga, I often felt disconnected from my body, especially due to chronic pain. I struggled with managing the mental and emotional challenges of living with pain, and I lacked the tools to center myself or find relief.  Yoga has helped me reconnect with my body (deeper & more compassionate), offering a path toward balance and well-being I didn’t know was possible.

Before sound healing: Music and singing have always been integral parts of my life. I sang and performed often, pouring my energy into creating and sharing. While performing was fulfilling, it also came with a sense of expectation and pressure. Discovering sound healing was a profound shift - it offered me a way to soothe myself and create space for my authentic expression to emerge, without the need to perform or strive. Sound healing provides a deeper connection to my inner world, allowing me to embrace my true voice and use sound as a means of emotional release and self-care. It’s where I could be myself, let go of external expectations, and connect with the healing power of sound.

Focus: My focus is on the energetic body - prana, the subtle energy that flows within us. I work with sound healing and gentle movement to clear blockages, balance energy, and promote relaxation and healing. My classes create space within the body to allow for release, clarity, and deep healing. I combine breathwork, yin/asana poses, and sound to activate the body's natural capacity for self-regulation.

Fav exercises: Gentle yoga poses that encourage body awareness and energy flow, such as seated forward folds for grounding and heart-opening postures to release tension and create space within the body. I also love breathwork practices like Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) to balance energy and calm the mind, and Ujjayi breath to deepen focus and stay connected with the present moment. Chanting mantras and vocal toning, especially the Gayatri Mantra, activate energy and create resonance within the body. Mindful, slow movement is another favourite, releasing stored tension and support the flow of prana (life force energy) throughout the body, promoting both physical and emotional well-being.

What’s on your playlist? My playlist spans a wide range of musical styles, from the smooth rhythms of jazz, funk, and soul, including artists like Erykah Badu, Marvin Gaye, and Jill Scott, to the sacred chants of Krishna Das and Jahnavi Harrison.

What brings you joy? Sharing the power of sound, being in nature, my dogs, connecting with friends and family, singing, chanting, playing harmonium and all things musical and creative. Teaching and supporting others by creating scared spaces.

Yoga (slow flow), Meditation, Breathwork

Teaching style: I like movement that’s grounding and focus on being in the body - the energy in the body. Mindful, slow, energising, and present. I often incorporate gentle breathwork through my classes

How has yoga helped: My yoga practice has been a journey. What started as a break from my three young children quickly turned into something that changed my life. I noticed I was less reactive, more in tune with myself, and much more confident. My practice helped with awareness of my thoughts and subconscious patterns, and I’m now present and existing in a more conscious way. I also found significant improvement with my condition (POTs) because of yoga’s profound effect on my nervous system.

Before I discovered yoga.. I was a podiatrist, and mumma to twin boys and a little girl. I had a sore back, an abdominal separation that wouldn’t close and was stressed and exhausted beyond words. I’d practiced yoga on and off since 16 but it wasn’t until I was gifted a pass to the local studio, that I reconnected to my practice. The change was so profound it let me to completing my teacher training, followed by courses in meditation and breathwork.

Focus: the breath and everything that you can feel in your body as you move. My classes will help you cultivate a sense of presence and self awareness.

Fav exercises: I really like a somatic hip flexor release, and joy breath.

What’s on your playlist? I have eclectic tastes . I listen to Mantra and chanting, beautiful instrumental music, handpan, indie, pop, dance and rock throwbacks from the 80s, 90s and early 00s. Lots of Sam Garrett, Trevor Hall, Krishna Das, Mirabai Ceiba, Ajeet and Salt tree…. though if a particular song is really moving, I’ll play it on repeat for days.

What brings you joy? Singing, music, dancing in my kitchen, mindful movement, playing my handpan and my harmonium, my children, seeing new growth in my garden and on my growing collection of indoor plants
