Founded by Deborah La at the end of 2024, just 11 km east of Melbourne’s CBD, you’ll find a calm and welcoming health hub. In a bright, light-filled corner block, our boutique studio is nestled amongst a vibrant community of culinary diversity - across from an organic grocer, family owned shops and the grassy Wattle Park.
Philosophy
“Having fallen in love with Barre 10+ years ago, I was looking for a studio near where I lived and was unable find anything similar. I also ended with an inconsistent yoga practice and tended to studio hop (following my fav instructors of course). Mindful Movement is my ‘ideal studio’ - not to work more, but to enjoy the classes myself.
I love all of the offerings we have as they each give me different things. Dance and barre for coordination and music, yoga for mindfulness, clarity and calm (who doesn’t need emotion regulation right?), Pilates for strength (the exercises my physio / chiro prescribes) & TRX for upper body strength.
Every class, course and workshop has been carefully thought out and has a purpose. Be it balance, coordination, strength building or learning a new skill (meditation or breathwork), there’s a talented teacher who’s eager to share their knowledge and expertise.
At Mindful Movement, there’s a solid set of values and focuses our teachers share and align with. We come from diverse backgrounds and understand that each client is multi-faceted, along with different goals and needs. Health and wellness is not a destination, but a journey - a lifestyle that we can support you to be consistent with.”
